Access Encrypted iPhone/iPad Backup to export photos, voice memos, contacts with iFonebox

Step 1: Download and lunch iFonebox (Window & Mac) on computer, you’ll see the interface below, Please select the “Recover from iTunes backup” 
 
Step 2: Select the encrypted backup file and hit on “Start Scan” to scan and extract data 
The software will automatically load the backups from your 'default backup folder' from the most recent to the oldest one. Otherwise, you can click Select button to browse backup from other locations or external hard drive. 
 



Please enter your password to decrypt the encrypted iPhone backup. Click "OK" to continue 
 


Step 3 Preview and recover data from encrypted iTunes backup 

When scanning finished, all files in encrypted iTunes backup are extracted and displayed here, You are able to preview the contents of all files. Then choose what you want and click “Recover” to save them all on your computer or transfer contacts/notes back to your iPhone/iPad.

How to to encrypt iTunes backup for iPhone/iPad/iPod: 
1. Open the iTunes application on your computer. 
2. Connect your device to the computer via USB. 
3. Click on the icon of your device in the left menu under DEVICES 
4. Under the Summary tab -> Options -> check the box Encrypt local backup
5. You will be prompted for a password, enter it twice. 
6. Click Set Password. 
7. Backups will be encrypted from now on when you sync your iPhone/iPad/iPod with this computer.
